We enjoyed a terrific session with participants joining in from PALESTINE, AUSTRALIA, MEXICO, BANGLADESH, and USA states such as Florida and New York!

About the Presenters:

Marouane El Baida is the EFL and ACCESS Program Teaacher for IMAM Malek School of the Ministry of Education, MATE program in Larache, Morocco. He works primarily with high school students in a program the delivers supplementary English activities and develops leadership skills. Last year, his students created Dream Flags for the first time. Sarah Kinder is the Assistant Director of The Dream Falg Project and has worked over the past two years to establish  a service-oriented high school support group for The Dream Flag Project, providing leadership and service experiences for older students at The Agnes Irwin School. A recent example of this work was a presentation by Dream Flag Club members at The Barnes Foundation, a local museum, running a service program. Photo from Twitter HERE

Full Session Description:  Through a chat with Dream Flag Co-Founder Jeff Harlan, Student Organizer Sarah Kinder, and Marouane El Baida, Dream Flag leader in Larouche, Morocco, you will see how The Dream Flag Project has empowered student from Nepal to Morocco and from Alaska to Belize to broadcast and connect their dreams. Inspired by the poetry of Langston Hughes and the tradition of Nepalese Prayer Flags, The Dream Flag Project has reached more than 100,000 students in 25 countries and more than 40 states of the USA since it started twelve years ago. It is free and open to any adult-led group of students aged 3-20.
